I’m a visual artist based in New York. Inspired by an abundant diversity of bird species, my paper collages celebrate the world of avian splendors, weaving the ethereal essence of birds with terrestrial human qualities.

I consider it an honor to live alongside these transitory visitors. Drawing upon multiple observations, whether from a book, or in the backyard, park, beach or zoo, I feel motivated to capture and express some of their sublime spirit.

Birds are revered travelers and messengers moving in infinite time and space, connecting heaven and earth. As historically treasured symbols of nature, they personify humanity’s hopes and dreams.

They hold secrets of the universe. Not known to follow convention, my birds live life on their own terms. In decorative attire, these sentient beings are storytellers, thinkers, performers, listeners and wise guardians.

They are my portal to another world. Birds of Bodhi is my collection.

Bird watching is a patient and quiet process.

And so too is my sifting through stacks of magazine papers, my scissors ready to cut color, texture, pattern and contour.

This is my chosen medium because it offers such an unpredictable palate.I enjoy the calm, meditative search, punctuated by the victories of finding the perfect piece of the puzzle, sometimes right under my nose, other times on the periphery.
